PBA is dedicated to collecting as much money as possible on every account. This means that we pursue claims until all avenues are exhausted. Our proprietary software was designed to expedite the routine work thereby allowing more personal attention to be focused on the more difficult claims Ð which can amount to 15% to 20% of gross billing. While it is not unusual for billing companies to turn 10% to 15% of gross annual billings over to collection, PBA typically sends less than 1%. ![]() Sending accounts to collections can be expensive. For example, suppose your billing rate is 6%, but that 10% of your billing is collected via a collection service, which typically will charge 30% to 50%. Your actual billing rate would be 9% to 11% (i.e., 6% base rate plus 3% to 5% to collection service), which would equate to an increase in your actual costs of about 50% to 83%. Your billing service should be able to document for you how much is sent to collections - and the company to which collections are referred should be independent of your primary billing service. |
